Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai is in Awe, Nasarawa State on a visit to the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Sanusi was dethroned last Monday by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and banished to Awe in Nasarawa State where he had been kept amidst tight security.
Since he was dethroned, El-Rufai had given Sanusi two appointments.
Sanusi was first appointed into the board of Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency, KADIPA, by El-Rufai, a day after he was dethroned. He is to serve as Vice Chairman of the board.
The governor also named Sanusi as Chancellor of Kaduna State University, KASU.
Sanusi succeeds the pioneer Chancellor, His Highness, Malam Tagwai Sambo, the Chief of Moro’a, who was appointed to the role in 2005.
