
The suspect
Justice Mohammed Tukur of a Kaduna State High Court, has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Abubakar Uthman.
Uthman is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on a one-count charge bordering on contract scam to the tune of N2,650,000.
The trial judge also ordered the arrest of his surety.
Uthman was first arraigned on April 3, 2019 and he pleaded “not guilty” to the charge.
He was thereafter, granted bail in the sum of N2 million.
