The special counter-narcotics police in southern Uruzgan province of Afghan have seized 525 kg of narcotic drugs.
The Interior Ministry in a statement on Sunday said “Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) launched a special raid in surrounding areas of Tirin Kot, capital of Uruzgan province.
“The CNPA seized 525 kg of opium and hashish from a house during the raid.”
The province is 37 km southwest of the country’s capital Kabul.
No arrest was made during the raid according to the statement, adding that investigation was ongoing.
