Nigerians have expressed outrage following alleged killing of the Assistant Captain of Remo Stars Football Club, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, known as Kaka, by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Sagamu on Saturday.
The club, in a statement on its Twitter handle on Saturday said they regret to announce the departure of “our assistant Captain and Defender, Tiyamiyu Kazeem (Kaka).
“The Club is doing everything possible to investigate his ultimately death. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
“Until his death, he was a humble and reliable defender for Remo Stars FC in the ongoing 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL).”
But angry Nigerians on twitter are calling for the disbandment of SARS, as #End SARS is currently trending.
According to them, SARS operatives had terminated the lives of too many innocent Nigerians and that the only way to end their menace was to ban them.

#EndSARS There so many criminals among the SARS operatives. So far you can pay you just get recruited. Most criminals in Nigeria have one or more policemen support for their operations. It's time the governors in the SW llok into this matter before it get worst.

#EndSARS @PoliceNG this unlawful killings by the sars operatives must stop. Stop killing innocent young citizens. Your work is to go after armed robbers n not innocent souls. RIP Tiamiyu Kazeem. May ur killers never know peace.
