FSARS Celebrates Promoted Officer

Officers, rank and files, attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS on Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island, Lagos has organised a party for their officer, CSP Danladi Daura to celebrate his promotion to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP recently.

The organiser of the event said that though Daura is not the only officer promoted in the Nigeria police in recent time, but that they decided to celebrate him because he makes friends across religion and tribe and more importantly he is a detribalised and listening officer.

The organiser praised the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu and the Chairman, Police service Commission, Chief Musliu Smith for the promotion of Daura and the uninterrupted promotion of other officers in the Nigeria Police Force in recent time.

The event was anchored by CSP Abel Ademola and held at the FSARS premises, Lagos.

Dignitaries in attendance were the Managing Director of COBIN Nigeria Limited, Chief Obinna Umeh; DCP Durosimi Olatoye in charge of FSARS, Lagos; ACP Olubunmi Ogundegbe; DPO Adeniji Adele Division, SP Sanni Salihu; CSP Oluseye Odunbaku and CSP Charles Onwumere in charge of legal, FSARS.

Others included SP Ibrahim Yusuf; DSP Garuba Oseni; DSP Bisi Adejumo; FCMB account officer, Rukayat Arogundade and others too numerous to mention.

Speaking at the event, DCP Durosimi Olatoye stated that ACP Daura is worth celebrating and emulating by others because he is a highly disciplined, loyal, hand working and detribalized officer who could perform his duty excellently without supervision, adding that Daura is not an officer that can be cajoled to do something through the back door or short cut.

According to Obinna Umeh, “ACP Daura is an asset to the Nigeria Police due to his frankness and detribalized leadership qualities adding that Daura is always ready to help anyone that knocked on his door without tribal or religious sentiments, saying Daura deserved his promotion”.
