The management of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, Nasarawa State, says it has trained no fewer than 2,000 members of staff on an attitudinal change to enhance effective service delivery.

Dr Yahaha Baba-Adamu, the Medical Director of the centre, made this known during the opening of the 2020 first ministerial SERVICOM/ Nodal and Desk Officers Networking Retreat, on Thursday in Keffi.

He said that the importance of SERVICOM (Service Compact with all Nigerians) to the development of the society could not be over-emphasised, hence the need for Nigerians to do the right things at the right time for development to thrive.

“We have trained 2,000 members of staff on attitudinal change by the Foundation for Correction of Moral Decadence, with SERVICOM serving as the engine room for service delivery.

“This is contingent on the compelling need to change the system of service delivery by government officials, especially those in the health sector from structure-centred approach to citizen-centred.

“SERVICOM is borne out of a commitment to transform the system through a customer-centred service delivery system, aimed at satisfying the customers’ expectations,” he said.

The medical director commended the organisers of the programme, saying that it would go a long way in ensuring effective healthcare delivery among health workers.
