Oyedepo: goes ballistic after being denied US Visa

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State and Living Faith Church Worldwide, otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel International, went ballistic on Thursday in Lagos after he was denied visa by the US Embassy.

A THISDAY report said the embassy did not give any other reason to the bishop, except the standard default explanation that the Bishop did not qualify for visa renewal in its assessment and urged him to try again.

According to the paper, Heaven was let loose, when the obviously flustered preacher and businessman, created scene whilst querying the grounds for his refusal.

Oyedepo reportedly protested he had been traveling to the states as far back as 1980s and had not violated any rules or committed any crime to have warranted being denied a renewal of his visa.

He immediately sent for his bodyguards to get his phones so he could make some calls, but the embassy allegedly told him he could not make calls within the precincts of the visa-issuing section of the embassy.

The paper also reported that while ace comedian, Abovi Ugboma, popularly known as Bovi was issued a visa, his wife, Kris Asimonye, was denied.

  2. Whether this news is true or false, it’s high time we tell ourselves than Nigeria is amongst the countries placed on visa Ban by the Americans.

So let our people be told and let none bother wasting their hard earned monies applying for America visa as it will not be granted and money not refunded.

Let’s make our kwauntri and Africa great.

  3. Have you read it in Vanguard that this report is false before you crucified the anointed man of God? US Embassy has denied the report.

  4. The white treats the black with ignominy, while the black sees them as saints. They only want our resources to further develop their states. When you ask for Visa, they feel you want to hide in their countries, they call African leaders to commit economic suicide by accepting the peanuts they offered to come to our land in the name of technology to steal our wealth of resources, dictating the terms and condtions.
Let’s think and explore our resources and export to them at our prices.

  5. Quite unfortunate, but think of it. this very Pastor leads in protest and condemnation of anything this government does, those who sell our country to the outside world will surely partake in the repercussion.. This is just the begining

  6. I really appreciate the United States government refusal to renew the visa of one Nigerian rogue pastors. Now, tell me, what is he going to do in the States that he can not do in Nigeria? Majority of his members are dying of hunger and starvation. Kudos to the American government.
