18 Indian sailors captured by Nigerian pirates released

Eighteen Indian sailors kidnapped by pirates near Bonny on 3 December have been released.

The sailors were among the 19, kidnapped on the Hong Kong flagged vessel MV Nave Constellation.

The Indian Mission in Nigeria has thanked all the stakeholders involved in their release.

There was no confirmation on the release of the 19th captive, a Turkish national.
