The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted dust haze weather conditions with persistent impaired visibility over most parts of the country on Sunday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Saturday, in Abuja, predicted dust haze condition with visibility range of one to three kilometres over the Central States.

It also predicted localised visibility of less than 1000m over the region with day and night temperatures of 28 to 36 and 16 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that Northern States would experience dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres and localised visibility of less than 1000m.

It further predicted thick dust haze conditions over Dutse, Katsina, Nguru, Potiskum, and Kano with day and night temperatures of 27 to 30 and 11 to 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, Southern States will experience dust haze with visibility range of one to three kilometres and localized visibility of less than 1000m over the inland cities with early morning mist and fog over the coastal cities.

“Later in the day, dust haze condition with visibility range of one to three kilometres and localised visibility of less than 1000m with day and night temperatures of 34 to 35 and 19 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Impaired visibility is currently noticed over most parts of the country.

“However, Northeasterly winds are still the predominate winds over the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
