Early today, the articulated vehicles took over both lanes inward Eko Bridge leading to heavy traffic build up in the axis.

Some days before the President’s visit to Lagos, Lagosians were amazed to see the articulated vehicles removed completely from the road from Fadeyi.

The question residents are asking is why the sudden appearance of the tanker and containers if they could be kept away from the road ahead of the visit by the President.

Investigation by our correspondent further revealed that most of the drivers of the vehicles were made to part with as much as N20,000 to security agencies in order to have a quicker access to the ports.

We later spoke with the Chairman, Apapa G.R.A Residents Association, retired Brigadier General, Ayo Shola-Vaughan, who described the latest development as sad and deliberate.
