The Idiroko Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, said 21 people were arrested on Idiroko road for drug-driving and drink-driving during the Ember Months’ Special Patrol in 2018.

Mr Olugbenga Farinloye, the Idiroko Unit Commander of the FRSC, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota on Sunday.

Farinloye said that driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol had contributed to many crashes that resulted to loss of lives and property along the Idiroko road and its environs.

According to him, the vehicles of the 21 persons arrested were impounded and taken to the FRSC office.
