Following his humiliating defeat at the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a second term in office, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has virtually abandoned Lagos with refuse littering major streets and highways.

PMNEWS survey around Lagos reveals a dirty state with heaps of refuse on street corners, roads and major highways posing serious health hazards to the residents.

Environmentalists say something must be done urgently to evacuate the wastes to prevent infectious diseases from spreading to a large number of people in the state.
