Nigerians have been enjoined to shun sentiment and rally support for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as the best to foster genuine development and save the nation from the prevailing economic hardship.

A pressure group, known as the ‘Seven Wise Men’ gave this advice in Ogun State, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Comrade Kehinde Alaka, while promising to support the Director General of Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, APCO, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, in ensuring that Atiku becomes the next President of the Nation.

The Pressure group said “Nigerians must stop listening to lies and propaganda, but face realities and assess critically, various issues affecting them, in terms of the Nation’s economy, security, power supply, housing, health, education, shelter, infrastructure and food, among others.”

According to the statement, “those campaigning, that three years was not enough to do anything tangible as a government were only deceiving people, as three years of governance was enough to show direction and give hope to the people, but this has remained elusive due to incompetence and insincerity on the part of a vengeance seeking government”.

The ‘Seven Wise Men’ stated that “the people should be able to judge if the country had improved from what it was, when fuel was sold for N87 per litre and a bag of rice was N7,000, compared to now that a litre of fuel is N145 and a bag of rice is between N14,000 and N18,000.
