The Kwara Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condoled with the families of its members who died in a road crash on Omu-Aran-Oro road on Sunday.

APC chairman in the State, Bashir Bolarinwa, in a condolence, expressed shock at the news of the death of four members and injuries suffered by others in a car crash.

Four members of the party died in a ghastly motor accident few meters to Oke-Onigbin on the Omu-Aran-Ilorin highway in Kwara on Sunday.

The APC members and some party executives of Irepodun Local Government Area of the state were on their way to Oro for a rally to celebrate the party’s victory at the House of Reps by-election last Saturday.

Bolarinwa prayed that God will grant the families of the deceased the strength to bear their losses and also grant repose to the souls of the departed.

An APC chieftain in Kwara, Dr Rex Olawuyi, also expressed shock at the accident, saying; “it is unfortunate to lose these members at this time of struggle in Kwara.”

According to him, the four party members died in the course of liberation of Kwara from the hands of oligarchy that has been subjugating the people for long.

“They are heroes of the struggle and will forever be remembered in the annals of Kwara State.

“We sympathise with the families of the deceased and pray God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Olawuyi added.
