The Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar-Maje, on Thursday in Hadejia, turbaned four village heads of Bulangu District, in Kafin-Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa.

The village heads are: Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim-Kani of Bulangu; Garba Mohammed, Kullumi; Ahmad Haruna, Rimi, and Usman Adamu, Shamakeri.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abubakar -Maje urged the appointees to lead their subjects with the utmost fairness, justice and fear of God.

“I urge you to do Justice to your subjects; justice is the cardinal principle of responsible leadership, because we will all account for our deeds before the Almighty Allah,” he said.

The emir called on the village heads to mobilise their wealthy subjects for the prompt release of Zakat funds, which were normally used in empowering the downtrodden.

Represented by the Galadima of Hadejia, Alhaji Usman Abdulaziz, Abubakar-Maje also urged the appointees to cooperate with their leaders for the development of their areas.

Responding, the appointees thanked the Hadejia emirate council and the District Head of Bulangu, Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman, for the trust reposed in them, and promised to discharge their duties effectively.
