The Office of Youth Organizing Secretary, All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, and convener of ‘Our Lagos, Your Lagos initiative,’ Aregbe Idris, has persuaded Nigerians to remain calm and get ready for 2019 general elation as voters registration came to end, saying there was need for citizens to vote wisely so as to pave way for the nation’s greater future.
Besides, Aregbe also commended sustained efforts of Lagos state residents and entire nation over collection of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ahead of the 2019 and that the development was a sign that the nation was going in right direction.
Through his Instagram account, @idrisconnectinglagos.ng, on Sunday, the convener of ‘Our Lagos Your Lagos’, said: “As we look forward to a peaceful, free and fair elections, our desire is to ensure that we exercise our franchise by voting in capable and intellectually proven representatives that would propel the socio-economic wheel of our great state and dear nation to promising heights.
“We urge all and sundry to keep the belief of an effective electoral system alive by coming out en-masse to exercise their franchise in order to hold in high-hopes the dreams of a better Nigeria.
“Together we can move Lagos state and Nigeria forward by capitalizing on the power.”
