LagosPhoto Foundation is pleased to present the first edition of the Canon Alumni Exhibition, a group exhibition featuring the works of the LagosPhoto and Canon Storytelling Workshop participants from 2016- 2018. The Canon Alumni Exhibition will present works from a total of 20 photographers from all over Nigeria, creating compelling images that spark conversations on different aspects of life on the continent. The exhibition will run from August 31 – 28 October, 2018 at the AAF office in Victoria Island, Lagos.

LagosPhoto Festival partnered with Canon CNA in 2016 to host a free, intensive one week photography workshop based on visual imagery storytelling to further our mutual goals of nurturing and developing emerging photographic talent in Nigeria. The mentors worked with each participant to build up the technical and conceptual tools they require to portray effective visual stories contributing to their growth as photographers. Canon’s sustainability programme, Miraisha, is aimed at building the capacity and skills of people in photography, videography and printing, in the African countries in which Canon operates.
