The alleged security lapses, mass unemployment, “Live threatening poverty” fall of standard education in the country are indications that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) government has failed in governance and must therefore be voted out of power in 2019.

This was the view of a House of Representatives aspirant in Ogun State, Alhaja Basirat Shonekan-Umaru who declared her intention to contest in the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency seat under the platform to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Shonekan-Umaru, who spoke at the Party’s secretariat in GRA, Abeokuta stressed the need for paradigm shift in the Representation of the people at the National level.
