The suspect was arrested on Saturday when he infiltrated into the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Maje Lawan at Banki area of Borno State

The Nigerian Army in a statement signed on Sunday by its spokesperson, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, said the suspect is number 98 on the wanted list.

“Troops of operation Lafiya Dole on 4 August 2018 have arrested a wanted Boko Haram suspect, Maje Lawan, at Banki in Borno State.

Director of Air Force Public of Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who attached a video of the operation, said the attack on the insurgents’ camp was conducted by the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Lafiya Dole.

Channels tv reports that two out of the green-roofed buildings that were identified as rendezvous points for the insurgents within Daban Masara were destroyed during the operation.
