The 13th Edition of the Lagos State Inter Ministerial -Agency Football Competition, tagged “Head of Service Cup’ will kick off at four designated Centres on the 6th of August, 2018.

The Competition, which was introduced in 2006 is to foster the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie in the Public Service, as well as promoting physical fitness among Public Servants and since the commencement of the football tournament, the Competition has lived up to its expectation.

A circular issued recently by the Office of the Head of Service, stated that Ministries, Agencies, Extra Ministerial Departments, Local Government and Local Council Development Areas interested in participating at the 2018 tournament were to register their teams at the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the Competition at the Secretariat in Alausa.

While warning gvernment agencies against fielding ineligible players for the competition which is an abuse of the intention of government in establishing the Competition, the office stated that a two-year ban awaited any erring Agency found violating laid down Rules.

It, therefore, advised all participating MDAs to adhere strictly by enlisting Civil Servants with Oracle numbers or Permanent Staff of participating Agencies.
