The Lagos Water Corporation, LEC, on Saturday 2018 begins the repair of water leakage on 600mm diameter pipe located between Oyingbo and Iddo motorway.
This was contained in a statement released by the Corporation’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Badmus in Lagos on Friday.
Badmus said the repair work was inevitable at this period to ease traffic movement in the area, before the closure of the 3rd Mainland Bridge scheduled for Friday, 27 and Sunday 29 July, 2018.
He added that the officers of the Nigerian Police, Lagos State Transportation Management Authority (LASTMA) and other traffic officers would be available during the period of the exercise to give way to motorist plying this road as the exercise is expected to be completed before Tuesday 24 July, 2018.
Meanwhile, some parts of Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Surulere and Yaba, Ebute Metta may experience disruption in water supply during this period, in order to fast track the repair work for effective service delivery.
The LWC, therefore, said it regretted any inconveniences caused at this period and assured the public of steady water supply soon, as the Corporation was working relentlessly to serve them better.
