As part of her Corporate Social Responsibility, Diamond Bank Plc. is partnering the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development to fight drug abuse in the State’s schools.

The Head Corporate Affairs Communications of the bank, Mrs.Chioma Afe who spoke at the inaugural meeting of the School Drug Abuse Campaign on Wednesday, said that the issue of drug abuse had become worrisome and that as such should be tackled aggressively, especially among young children who have suddenly become the target of drug peddlers.

She said the bank would be partnering with the Ministry in taking the message to schools.

While receiving the team, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development thanked Diamond bank for the good gesture and reiterated the States stance on Zero tolerance for Drug Abuse.

He also called on other well meaning organizations to emulate Diamond Bank, saying that it would indeed help the state and the country in fighting the menace.

The commissioner, thereafter, inaugurated the School Campaign Committee on Drug Abuse comprising of officers representatives of Diamond bank.
