Suleja Local Government Area of Niger has generated N90 million as internally generated revenue from January to June 2018.
Alhaji Abdullahi Maje, Chairman of the council, disclosed this in Minna on Friday.
“Our revenue target for the year is N190 million and so far, we have collected 90 million,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the local administration would meet the target due to the commitment of its personnel and concrete measures put in place to ensure diligence in revenue collection.
“We are ready through the various measures put in place to ensure all monies realized are properly paid into the council purse,” he said.
He also said that the council has blocked all loopholes to ensure proper collection of revenue for execution of capital projects in the area.
