The Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) says its current social intervention programme is not targeted at wooing the electorate for the 2019 elections but rather a part of party ideology.

The party spokesperson, Mr Sesugh Akume stated this on Wednesday in Abuja, adding that the social interventions embarked upon in the last few months were part of the party’s core values.

Akume noted that the party had been involved in numerous social interventions from tree planting to environmental clean-ups, saying that many other humanitarian services were also carried out across the country.

“This is a departure from vote buying, manipulation and patronisation to take advantage of an impoverished populace and rob them of their human dignity.

“In the past months, the ANRP has been involved in numerous mass awareness social intervention and we hope to engage in more activities that will add value to the electorate in a sustainable manner.

“The Party is committed to continuing with this and other outreaches in Ekiti and other states in Nigeria,” Akume said.
