The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA) on Friday assured 24-hours petroleum products availability and loading to filling stations across the states of the federation during the holidays.

Mr Olufemi Adewole, Executive Secretary of DAPPMA gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Adewole assured the readiness of the association to ensure massive loading at various private depots across the country.

He added that the members would ensure 24-hours daily loading expect on public holidays.

According to him, as much as Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) gives us products, we will ensure judicious distribution to the public through marketers because we are not importing petrol.

“We all know that aside from the increase in price of crude oil at the international market, which also affected the increase in corresponding refine product landing cost of petrol has not reduced but rather rising.

“NNPC is the sole importer and supplier of petrol to DAPPMA. We would ensure that any quantity of petroleum product given to us would be distributed to customers.”

He said that most tanker drivers had commenced loading to the Northern part of the country so as to celebrate their festive season with their families.

Adewole said that downstream operations remained the face of NNPC and assured that the country would never return to the era of products scarcity.

He commended NNPC Group Managing Director, Dr Maikanti Baru for his commitment and support especially in the resuscitation of depots in some parts of the country, adding that this contributed immensely to steady supply of products nationwide.
