Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, has described Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as a selfless leader, a patriot and man of great vision worthy of emulation.
Adebule made the remarks on Thursday in a statement she personally signed to congratulate the governor on his 55th birthday celebration
Part of the statement read, ‘’ Your selfless and track record of achievements in the last 3 years clearly demonstrated your un relented commitment to a more prosperous smart city that is safe and provides accommodation for all citizens irrespective of tribes, religions, tongues , class and political affinity.”
Adebule, while congratulating her boss for celebrating another year on earth in good health, noted that his administrative ingenuity and prudent financial management had helped the state government to achieve massive urban renewal and infrastructure projects across the state, adding that the governor had through a lot of reforms set a minimum standard for good governance in the state.
The deputy governor, who noted that she enjoyed a cordial working relationship with the governor, stated that the all inclusive style of administration introduced by the birthday governor had helped to provide opportunity for thousands of youths resident in the state to be engaged in more productive activities that made them to be responsible citizens rather than roaming about the streets or engaging in crimes.
“As you clock 55 years today, we members of the State Executive Council and Lagosians in general applaud your distinguished leadership and continued contributions to the development of our dear state,’’Adebule praised Ambode.
The deputy governor, therefore, prayed that the Lord would continue to grant the governor more wisdom, divine favours, sound mind and good health to continue the good work.
