Mr Sunday Muchen, member representing Bokkos constituency in the Plateau House of Assembly, has urged residents of Daffo District to remain calm and law-abiding, following the recent attacks on some communities in the area.

Muchen gave the advice on Monday in Jos.

He said some of the communities in Daffo District recently experienced attacks by gunmen.

Muchen, who described the incident as “unfortunate,’’ however, called on residents of the affected communities to be patient with the government.

“What happened has happened, so, our people must not take laws into their hands but be calm and law abiding.

“It is an unfortunate situation, but they shouldn’t allow their level of provocation to lead them to commit crimes against humanity.

“So, I urge our people to trust in God and allow the law to take its course,” the lawmaker said.

He also called on security agencies to intensify efforts to fish out those behind the attack and make them to face the full wrath of the law.
