The chairman, Surulere Local Government Area, Tajudeen Ajide, has commissioned the 218-meter Alhaji Thanni Street in the Alhaji Masha area of the metropolis.
The road, linking Alhaji Masha on the north and Adeniran Ogunsanya Street on the west, will expectedly bring relief to residents and allow outbound access to vehicular traffic.
During the brief commissioning ceremony, the chairman revealed how the residents of the area had complained to him about the parlous state of the road and his promise to fix it.
“We are happy we were able to meet the resident’s demand for the road to be fixed. The road links various streets and it is outbound Adeniran Ogunsanya, a major commercial area. We are thankful to God and the party, the council officials, community development association and community development committee for their supports,” he said.
