Three persons in a car were burnt beyond recognition in the early hours of Thursday at Garrison Roundabout, Port Harcourt-Aba Expressway, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The accident occurred when their car hit the concrete slabs of the Garrison, the controversial roundabout opened to traffic in the first week of December last year.
The time of the accident was not clear but the car was still burning as at the time our correspondent visited the scene at 6.30 am.
It would be recalled that motorists and concerned road users in the state had criticised the construction of the roundabout at the ever busy junction instead of a flyover or a boulevard.
