Come back home, Olu Jacobs tells Ogun indigenes abroad

Veteran Nollywood actor, Oludotun Bayehun Jacobs popularly known as Olu Jacobs has called on sons and daughters of Ogun State who have made their wealth outside the shores of the state to come back home and complement the efforts of Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration at repositioning the state.

Jacobs who made this known at the office of the Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Muyiwa Oladipo in company of his wife, Joke Silva, said he was proud of the giant strides of the present administration in the state, adding that he was proud to be an indigene of the state.

“Change is always good, when it is for the better, even better, I am very proud of Ogun State, I am delighted that again as usual in Ogun State, we are the first in living ideas, Ogun State, well done, keep it up,” he said.

The 75-year old actor, who hails from Oke-Itoku, Ijemo-Agbadu area of Abeokuta commended the energy of the Ogun State Cultural Troupe, describing their performance as electrifying and incredible.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Muyiwa Oladipo disclosed that the state government was planning to have a photographic exhibition of sons and daughters of the State who had made their mark in their chosen fields.

“The State Government is coming up with a photographic exhibition of sons and daughters of the State who had made their mark in their respective fields, I Know one way or the other, when we are compiling names of the people of the state that have made their mark in the theater world, ofcourse, Olu Jacobs won’t be forgotten,”he assured.
