Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State has promised to complete the Al-Ihsan Islamic Centre Gombe before May 2019.

He said that the centre was designed to boost educational development in the state and the country.

Dankwambo gave the assurance at the Maulud of ‘Nabiy’ and Foundation laying of an Islamic centre in the area organised by Qadiriyah an Islamic sect in Gombe on Saturday.

When completed the centre located at Gombe-Kano road would have Jumu’at Mosque and Islamic School for the memorization of Holy Qur’an.

Dankwambo said that investing in the construction of the centre would attract more rewards from Almighty God, hence the need for spirited individuals, companies, private sectors as well as organisations to contribute immensely toward the project to reap the abundant rewards.

According to him, the state government has constructed about 11 of such schools across the state.

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State represented by his Deputy Hafizu Abubakar commended Gov. Dankwambo for allocating a plot for the project and appealed for timely completion of the centre.

He said that the project would provide the opportunity for people to have quality Islamic education and employment.

He said: “If completed many generations yet unborn will benefit from the project for the development and success of Islam.

Ganduje called on Muslim communities to love one another and ensure forgiveness based on the teaching of Prophet Muhammad.

Sheik Nasiru Kabara, leader of Qadiriya of Africa assured that the project would impact positively on the life of people in the state.

He said that the students would learn a lot of books such as Qur’an, hadith, Fiqihu and Tafsir among other Islamic books.

He called for the unity, peace and harmony among the people in the state and the country at large
