For all food lovers who know the value of good dishes, you need not go far as Nestle Nigeria Tuesday at it’s flowergate factory Shagamu, Ogun state launched another addition to the family, a new seasoning cube called ”MAGGI NAIJA POT”. Mauricio Alarcon, MD/CEO of Nestle Nigeria in his opening remarks during the launching said, ”We dedicate ourselves to deeply understanding the needs and preferences of our consumers, and then we tailor our products to suit local tastes and food cultures.”

The new seasoning cube developed in Nigeria based on the strong understanding of local cuisine, is a combination of natural smoked fish, stock fish and crayfish to give soups and pottages that bottom-pot taste that Nigerians love.

MAGGI NAIJA POT was developed with the aim of using more familiar and common ingredients, improve the nutritional profile of Maggi, increase local sourcing and build local economies and also raise awareness about healthy lifestyles, cooking and diets. The seasoning will help to save time, money and effort since Naija pot combines selected locally known ingredients in one small cube. It is also a source of iodine for higher nutritional value.

The event kicked off with a press conference and factory tour where journalists were taken into the production factory to see the different stages of production and packaging. Also there was cooking competition where 4 contestants cooked pottage with MAGGI NAIJA POT new seasoning. At the end PMNEWSs emerged 2nd runner up and another journalist bagged the winning position.

Speaking at the event, the category manager, Culinary, Nestle Nigeria, Mr, Nordine Meguini said, ”MAGGI NAIJA POT” which comes in a modern new packaging is the only seasoning cube in Nigeria full of natural fish flavour with the unique combination of natural smoked fish, stock fish and crayfish to give soups and pottages that bottom-pot taste that Nigerians love. and it is a product developed by Nigerian chefs, produced in Nigeria with locally known ingredients to enhance the tastes of local cuisine.”
