Super Eagles celebrating their qualification

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have moved to 41 in the world and 5th in Africa in the latest ranking released by the Federation of International Football, FIFA released on Monday.

Nigeria was 43rd in the last ranking and has now moved up to 41, which represents an improvement.

The Super Eagles have been having a smooth run the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Russia as the team is yet to lose a game and has already qualified with one game at hand.

However, Tunisia have moved top of FIFA’s African rankings for the first time in 15 years.

The last time the North Africans were ranked the best team on the continent was back in January 2002, a position the Carthage Eagles had assumed the previous July.
