”The Prophecy” as this year’s Felabration theme to mark Fela’s 20th anniversary and to celebrate the life and legacy of the Afro beat legend is a manifestation of art and aesthetics of the uniqueness and diversity of various artistes, the annual event which commenced on the 9th of this month to end on the 15th has yet enough performances to wow its audience both home and abroad.
Some A-list artistes who showcased their performances at the Afrika shrine last night include: Omawunmi, Adekunle Gold, Bez, Jaywon and a host of others. Omawunmi thrilled her fans to having a taste of her when she sang some of her old songs including ”Bottom Belle” ”If you ask me” and ”Megbele”.
The beautiful curvy singer dropped some waist moves and also danced the ”Etighi” dance to the awaiting audience who could barely have enough of her. Femi Kuti to conclude Omawunmi’s performance joined her on stage with melodious tunes from his Saxophone and got a standing bravo ovation from fans.
Adekunle Gold who also with his mix of yoruba beat and songs kept his fans entertained through his time on the stage paid his tribute to Fela before bringing his performance to a close.
