The Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business District, CBD on Thursday hosted school children on Lagos Island East and Lagos Island West LCDA to Sallah celebration at the 6th edition of its Monthly programme, tagged, “Echoes from Tinubu Square,” Lagos.

Speaking at the celebration, the Special Adviser to the Governor on CBD, Agboola Dabiri said Lagos State Government recognized the importance of children in the society as future leaders and therefore they should always be engaged in folklore, tales and funfair during the holiday season and festive periods.

“We the need to continually engage our children positively and constructively in both academic and non-academic activities during the holiday and festive periods rather than allow the children to roam the street or hawk wares on the roads” the special adviser said.

He said further: “my office understand that it is good to give children surprises or new experiences and exposures, which is why it is good to take advantage of the programme put in place by the Agency outside summer schools other than the one they attend.”

Dabiri stated that the choice of the venue for hosting the programme tagged “Echoes from Tinubu Square” was to allow school children continually remember “our past heroes and heroine and imbibe the good virtues of great Nigerians like Madam Tinubu.
