Real Madrid produced a dominant display at the Santiago Bernabeu to defeat bitter rival, Barcelona 2-0 and 5-1 on aggregate to add the Spanish Super Cup to their numerous trophies.

Madrid had defeat Barcelona 3-1 at the Nou Camp on Sunday in the first leg of the Super Cup despite controversial refereeing which led to the sending off of Cristiano Ronaldo.

At the Santiago Bernabou on Wednesday, Madrid did not waste time in establishing their dominance on the game when a long range shot by  Marco Asensio drifted into the net to give the home side 1-0 lead in just four minutes into the game.

Marco Asensio followed up his brilliant goal in the first leg with another. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is 30 yards out but has a go and it flies into the back of the net, Marc-Andre ter Stegen was rooted to the spot.

Karim Benzema scored a super goal in the 39th minute of the game to make it 2-0 in the first half.

Marcelo had played in a low cross from the left, Karim Benzema flicks the ball up into the air with his first touch, spins Samuel Umtiti and slams the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
