There is anger in Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, LCDA of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria resulting in a free for all due to attempt to impose a Speaker in the council parliament.

Speaking with journalists, one of the councilors, Tunji Ogunyemi said, the council chairman, Augustine Arogundade was trying to nominate the speaker of the parliament without due process.

As of the time of filing this report, the council’s premises was filled with thugs wielding guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons.

To avert being hurt, many shops were closed and roads deserted leaving commuters with no alternative than to resort to trekking long distances.

The residents called on the APC leader in Alimosho LG and its axis to come to their aid.

They also appealed to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov. Akinwumi Ambode to call the council chairman to order and allow due process to vote for the Speaker of the Council Chamber for peace to reign in the council.

It was learnt that because of the aggression between the councilors and the council chairman, the process of voting to elect the council speaker was adjourned.

According to the clerk of the House, Mrs. Akin Ajayi, the process has been adjourned till further notice.
