A mother, 30  and her two-year old baby have died and one other rescued as an uncompleted storey building collapsed at Meiran area of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, LCDA of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

PM News gathered that the one storey building collapsed on Saturday during the heavy downpour in the area, leaving some people trapped.

A huge crowd has gathered around the area, while the site of the collapse has been condoned off.

It was gathered that the mother and her daughter were trapped while they were washing cloth under an uncompleted building on Seidu Ekeleji Street, Alaro, Meiran.

Although, another daughter of the woman was rescued live from the scene, the mother and the younger daughter were brought out dead from rumbles.

The building, which was still under construction was in decking position when it collapsed.

The mother and her two daughters, aged, 4 years and 2 years, according to neighbours, were washing clothes when the building collapsed, killing the mother and the two-year old daughters.

Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Rapid Response Squad and LASAMBUS were at the scene to offer rescue services.
