Sokoto State contributory health scheme gets boost

The District Head, Gagi District, Sokoto South Local Government, Alhaji  Sani Umar, on Wednesday, said that 30,000 people had enrolled under the state’s Contributory Health Care Management Agency Scheme.

Umar, who is also the chairman of the programme in the community, made this disclosure when the Special Adviser in charge of the scheme, Dr Ali Inname, visited the area.

The monarch said the scheme would boost the provision of health care services across the state and pledged the maximum cooperation of his subjects, to ensure the success of the scheme.

Also, Alhaji Bello Haliru, the chairman of the scheme at Gwiwa community in Wamakko Local Government, said the construction of two clinics, had begun as part of the community’s contribution to the scheme.

Haliru urged the State Government to assist them in completing the project.

Responding, Inname, stated that the visit was to map out ways for proper the actualisation of the contributory health scheme in the two communities.

Inname promised the continued support of the agency to any community, that embraced the scheme.
