A 33- year-old businessman, Tunji Adekunle, who allegedly defrauded a woman who helped him secure a Qatar Visa, on Wednesday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

Adekunle, who resides on Sulaiman Street, Ipaja, Lagos, is being tried for fraud and stealing.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Joseph Ajebe, told the court that Adekunle committed the offences on Oct. 1, 2010 on Abesan Estate, Ipaja.

Ajebe said that the accused approached one Mrs Peace Udom to assist him to secure a Qatar visa

“She charged him N650,000 which he agreed to pay.

“After the complainant was through with the visa, the accused cunningly collected it from her without giving her a dime.
