Seventeen ships are discharging petroleum products and other commodities at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos.

NPA disclosed this in its daily publication, Shipping Position “. released in Lagos on Friday.

It said that the ships were discharging bulk wheat, petrol, general cargoes, containers, salt, bulk fertiliser, empty containers and frozen fish.

NPA said that 30 other ships, laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods, were expected to arrive in Lagos ports between May 19 and June 3.

It said that the expected ships would bring base oil, general cargoes, bulk fertiliser, bulk wheat, containers, bulk sugar and petrol.

The publication also reported that eight ships had arrived at the ports waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, aviation fuel and petrol.
