The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has redesigned its website ahead of the 22 July Local Government elections in Lagos to facilitate seamless access to relevant information on the election.

The newly redesigned website – www.lasiec.gov.ng will provide a comprehensive information about the operations and activities of the Commission and also serve as a platform for the Commission for receiving feedback from stakeholders and the general public.

The newly redesigned website has a clean uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced content on the Commission’s vision to be recognised for excellence in electoral administration and sustenance of democracy.

Speaking during the launch of the redesigned website, the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Justice Ayotunde Philips (Rtd), expressed satisfaction that members of the public could now obtain relevant information on the activities and programmes of the Commission, particularly the forthcoming elections into Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the State.

Phillips, therefore, enjoined members of the public and stakeholders to visit the website of the Commission regularly for updates on programmes and activities of the Commission.

“As the newly redesigned website of the Commission goes live today, I urge members of the public to take advantage of this technological innovation and demonstrate more interest and commitment to the electoral process at the Local Government level of Lagos State.

“With the redesigned website, it is expected that communication between the Commission and the public would be greatly boosted,”she said.
