Boko Haram has released a new video to deny Nigerian government’s claim that only five of its commanders were released from prison in exchange for the recently freed 82 Chibok schoolgirls.

Ahmad Salkida, a northern journalist with deep Knowledge of inside workings of the Boko Haram sect said in a series of tweets that in the video one of the Chibok schoolgirls carrying AK 47 rifles Maida Yakubu disclosed why she refused to go with the 82 released schoolgirls.

Salkida also revealed that the video showed one of the commanders, swapped with the 82 Chibok girls, threatening to bomb Abuja.

Salkida said the video released by the Abubakar Shekau faction, featured one Shuaibu Moni, a Boko Haram commander who was one of those allegedly swapped for the girls.

He disclosed that Moni issued threats to the Nigerian government and President Muhammadu Buhari.

Salkida also claimed that the commander also stated that it was not true that only five insurgents were released in exchange for the Chibok girls. He then warned of imminent bombing in Abuja.

Moni added that there’s been no dialogue with government and that there won’t be.

The President Muhammadu Buhari government picked the option of swapping the 82 Chibok school girls with Boko Haram prisoners, over paying a ransom to the terrorist group.

According to The Nation newspaper, the government did not want a repeat of ransom payment, as the case was during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
