Lawmaker launches N1.37bn ecological fund projects in constituency

Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, the Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber-crime, on Thursday launched N1.37 billion ecological fund projects meant for Ogbomoso area of Oyo State.

The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that the projects includes the construction of Odo Alamo road, flood control projects in Odo Omosin and Odo Oloko.

Buhari (APC-Oyo North) said the projects were facilitated in fulfillment of parts of his campaign promises to the people of the constituency.

“One of our campaign programmes was to enhance healthy and better environment for our people.

“This is what we are doing today and by the grace of God we will ensure completion of the projects very soon,” he said.

He promised that the senatorial district would always enjoy their fair share of democratic dividends from the Federal Government.

The lawmaker urged the construction company to ensure quality job and timely completion of the projects.

He also advised the people to cooperate with the construction firm, adding that the safety of the workers and the firm’s equipment must be guaranteed.

The Caretaker Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Mr Abiodun Adeyemo, described Buhari as a leader with genuine interest and passion for his people.

Adeyemo, who spoke on behalf of all the caretaker chairmen in Ogbomoso, assured the lawmaker of their support in taking the community to greater height.

Mr Sam James, the representative of the construction firm assured the communities of quality and speedy completion of the projects.

Also, Mr Kayode Adaramoye, the Project Consultant and Mr Tony Afuye, the representative of ecological fund agency commended Buhari for attracting the projects to his constituency.
