Yaw Preko, the Head Coach of FC IfeanyiUbah of Nnewi, says he is now satisfied with his team after they played five matches without defeat.

Preko spoke at a post-match interview after his team played goalless with hosts Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi on Sunday at the Aper Aku Stadium.

The match was a week 19 fixture in the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Preko described the match as tough and not easy, saying it was a reflection of the fact that his team was moving up gradually on the league table.

“I hope we will get to a very comfortable position soon.

“We are not comfortable with our present number of points and position, but we’re working on that,” he said.

The coach commended his players for their skills in the attack and defence, saying “if we don’t get three points for a win, at least a point for a draw was not bad’’.

FC IfeanyiUbah’s goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa also pointed out that both teams’ defensive techniques left no room for goals in the match.

Ezenwa said with his team now in the 9th position and aiming high, they still have to go back to the drawing board to ensure successful outings.

NAN reports that no member of Lobi Stars’ technical crew was ready to grant any interview, as they wore long faces to show they were unhappy with the match’s outcome.
