Mr Haruna Osegba, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, said that the 13 committees in the state got N752 million from the Federation Account for installment of March staff salaries.

Osegba revealed this to writers in Lafia on Friday after the state’s Local Government Joint Account Committee and partners’ meeting.

He said that assignment to the nearby governments in the state from the earlier months was N896 million, representing N 144 million.

Osegba additionally said the joint account meeting had concurred that the service ought to increase the allotment to empower Local Governments and Development Areas pay workers.

The chief said the installment would be in the between of 50 and 70 for every penny of their compensations.

“Based on this agreement, the least any worker at the local government area level will receive as March salary is 50 percent while the maximum is 70 percent,” Osegba said.
