The Lagos State University (LASU) says it will not hesitate to sanction anyone who litters the university environment with wastes.
The University’s official bulletin on Monday said the decision was to ensure a clean, more beautiful and academic-friendly environment.
The university authorities have approved the placement of 20 units of eco-friendly waste bins donated to it at strategic places within its main campus in Ojo.
The waste bins are expected to be utilized by members and visitors to the university community.
The university’s authorities have, however, enjoined its staff, students and visitors to the university community to always dispose their wastes into the waste bins.
“All waste materials such as bottles, plastics, papers, nylons, among others should be disposed properly into the waste bins.
“The university will not hesitate to sanction anyone found littering the environment with wastes,” the university said.
