Art Splash Studio, a new form of social entertainment has debuted in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Art Splash Studio is a virtual art studio offering a social art experience through a “Paint Nite” painting classes hosted at different venues in Abuja.
According to the founder, Crystal Ikanih-Musa, during the session, you paint, eat and sip on cocktails while you create. This is the ultimate happy hour combination. No experience is necessary. Professional artist serve as instructors who guide you through painting your very own work of art. Each week you get the opportunity to paint one of our original paintings from our library. At the end of the night you leave with your very own creation. We also host private parties, birthday parties, and corporate team building events.
Crystal Ikanih-Musa is a Nigerian born and raised in the United States. After finishing law school and taking the bar exam three years ago she packed her bags and moved to Nigeria and has been living in Abuja ever since.
Looking for a new form of entertainment is what inspired her to start Art Splash Studio.
“I was bored with doing the same things each weekend. Either you go clubbing or go to a restaurant to eat. Those are the only two options.”
On a trip back to the US her friends told her about a new form of entertainment where you paint and sip on wine. After a bit of research she thought this was a great idea to implement back in Nigeria to fill the entertainment void.
”In the future we would like to scale up and bring this social art experience to as many Nigerians as possible,” she added.
