A polling agent of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Solomon Omorogbe, reportedly slumped and died on Wednesday at the polling centre during the state gubernatorial election.

The sad incident which occurred at Ward 10, Unit 8, located in Abico Market area, Ikpoba-Okha local government area of the state, slowed down voting process at the unit, causing pandemonium among voters.

‎The 58-year old man was said to have left his house to his polling unit very early in the morning where he was to serve as a polling agent.

He slumped shortly after casting his vote and was immediately rushed to Akugbe Hospital by his first son, Charlie and other sympathizers at the polling unit where he was confirmed dead by the doctor.

His body has since been deposited at an undisclosed hospital morgue.
