A housewife, Toyin Adeola, has told an Akure Customary Court that her husband, Kayode, gives her N200 as daily upkeep allowance for the family of four.

Toyin made the disclosure when she testified in her divorce proceeding where she begged the court to dissolve her eight -year-old marriage to her husband, Kayode, for alleged desertion for a year.

She told the court that she had stopped having sexual intercourse with her husband because of his waywardness.

The petitioner said “the irresponsible nature of her husband’ made the respondent to abandon his matrimonial home without showing kindness to his family.

Kayode denied all the allegations and said that he left his family because of his wife’s persistent promiscuity.
